It is a book that aims to trace Oman’s economic achievements over six thousand years, as well as the Omani people’s adherence to the values and teachings of Islam since its earliest days, remaining faithful to its principles. The book seeks to provide a more comprehensive view of Omani policy and its achievements over the past centuries, and to inform the international community about how a modern Arab nation, relatively new to planned development, prepared itself to enter what is known as the global economy without abandoning its inherited traditions and customs. It also aims to present its economic and developmental journey as a model to be followed by many other countries.
